… and yes, you are reading correctly, also in Denmark too wine now grows very successful and that is certainly worth a visit for your groups!
Our favourite is situated in the middle of the beautiful landscape between Kolding and Fredericia. Not just wine enthusiasts will experience at this rare phenomenon the true passion on this unusual spot to hear interesting stories about Danish wine and its production.
The crazy idea of, in a positive sense, insane winemaker Kim and his wife Lilian, started as an adventure at the beginning of this millennium in their garden.
Today the two are very proud to be one of Denmark’s biggest wine producer. At the winery both red and also white wines are growing. The most popular grape varieties are “Rondo” and “Solaris”. These varieties are very robust grapes and defy cooler temperatures easily. Therefore, those are not so well known in our climes, but they are also round, full-bodied and produce tasty wines as well.
The visit at one of the wineries starts with a guided tour in the wine yard where you hear and see about different grape varieties as well as on the care of wines and the soil they receive.
After that the tour continues to the production where you can see the further work processes to the finished to noble tracking drops, so practical “from the grape to the bottle”.
Kim himself presents it all in a very funny and original way, let yourself be surprised…! After that a wine tasting with bread, cheese and sausage snacks shall not be missed – skål all together!
Finally, the wine shop opens where you not only can buy the wines which has been tasted, but of course the entire offer of the insane winemaker of the North …!
This group-appropriate highlight invites you to a North Sea expedition and is a true universe of experience.
The largest aquarium in Northern Europe offers its guests a lot of exciting experiences around the inhabitants of the North Sea.
One of these experiences is certainly the 58 aquariums in which more than 4.5 million liters of seawater flow.
More than 70 species of fish swim in huge shoals of fish through the impressive water landscape, star in the ensemble par excellence is the very rare sunfish.
Visit the seal family during the daily feeding in the spacious outdoor area of the facility.
When walking through the very large area you will always come across interesting exhibitions, some invite you to actively participate.
Incidentally, the restaurant of the Ozeanarium is perfect for a fresh, delicious fish buffet and other group-appropriate menus.
A safari in Denmark? That’s not possible!
Of course, it is, and it is and an incredible experience of nature, your groups are waiting for in the Wadden Sea National Park.
In that unique national park of its kind worldwide you will find the largest seal stocks and the largest bird swarms of Europe.
Furthermore, masses of oysters are laying on the ground of the sea.
All these natural attractions can be experienced in private nature areas on one of the 3 exciting safari programs the Black Sun, the oyster’s safari or the seal safari (also available for handicapped).
As a highlight par excellence and biggest natural attraction Denmark enjoy “The Black Sun”(Sort Sol). It is a nature experience of world class, where millions of starlings gather for an air ballet to a unique drama in the sky. In the months of march, April, September and October, the starlings “dance” at sunset in the marshland of the national park with unimaginable aerial acrobatics. Not for no reason more than 100,000 people admire every year to follow the ballet of life and death, because the gigantic swarms become attacked by birds of prey.
Just as exciting and at the same time a culinary experience is the oyster safari. While a walk about 300 m far out in the Wadden Sea your groups collects a lot of oysters, which can be tasted and enjoyed directly. The guide tells the story about the importance of oysters, a story about kings, counts, power, wealth and decay.
At the seal Safari your groups during a cutter trip to the Wadden Sea will visit the habitat of the seals and be surprised by the diverse wildlife here! The Danish Wadden Sea is home to the largest seal population in Europe. The seal is with up to 300 kg weight the largest predator in Europe! On the cutter ride you also catch various marine animals and discover the interesting small animals of the seabed.
Weather to seasonal conditions it can come to changes of the respective safari booked. All guiding’s will be performed in a very interesting and funny way of top professional rangers. Don’t miss this experience and go on SAFARI in Denmark with your groups!
